The long grasses rustle & sway under the gentle breeze blowing across the bawn. The trees adding their chorus in creaks & leafy rhythm. Gone the perfumed aromas of Spring's majesty now the days seem redolent of Summer's sweltering heat & lush earthy loam. A wizened woman in a faded tie dye top & much loved skirt stops & raises her head. Wisps of her white hair dance around her face. Sniffing she turns slowly taking measure of the messages cast upon the wind. For long moments she stands with eyes closed drinking in the scents. Then bowing her head she shuffles on to the nearest cabin. Her gentle murmurs add a counterpoint melody of things to come.
Upon entering the cabin Manna sees the sleeping forms of the Cairn's newest arrivals. She reaches out & wakes the younglings. "It's time to start your training. Go get cleaned up & get some food. Time is short & there is much to learn today."
Manna then turns & makes her way out of the cabin. She sits serenely under the arms of an oak waiting.
