thanks everyone, I used to joke that he is too stubborn to die.

I am not too sure about that now.

I found out that he has been sick for awhile.

He had to be airlifted by chopper out of his location when this all started.
They had to hire a crew to bring his rig home after he arrived.
My step mom cant drive it. This was about 4 months ago if i remember correctly.

Sigh, I believe i have found out why he is so pissed off at me.

While they were visiting a few months back, he wanted to take the kids with them for more than a few days. We said no. So now i get the silent treatment. Oh yea, he is out of hospital for the moment.

ugh. I thought Grandparents were supposed to be adults?

Don't feel bad Red(d) we always told everyone no when they wanted to take our kids, people take it personally. Don't worry, he'll get over it. Pretty sad by giving you the silent treatment he's still missing out on the kids that got him upset in the first place.

Sorry folks but that would require a level of maturity that Redd's father just doesn't posses. Either way it's on him. By doing this he locks himself out of the children's life. I hope he comes to his senses soon but he's been such a small part of their lives due to his own choice that it's not hurting anyone but himself & Redd.

BTW Redd I owe your bro a long past due, but VERY well deserved punch in the nose. Not sure your mom would be upset anymore if I did clock him one.

He is now out of hospital, and has been for awhile.

I somehow feel that is cheating the kids of their grandpa.

looks like it comes down to how long I allow the wound to stay bleeding.

Yea, beginning to feel that way myself.

Problem is:

the kids do enjoy speaking to Pawpaw and Mawmaw.

My pain is not theirs and they deserve to speak to their grandparents if they wish to.

I missed this post earlier.
Not to my knowledge on the E coli.
His original metabolism was so strong that his body kept rejecting the surgery. Now of course they are unable to do the surgery due to infection.
He has since recovered from the infection, gotten out of the Hospital, and is recovering at home.
