No, he told me what to do, and gave me the site addie to look it up.
I have to take 400 MG of vitamin B6 a day.
Plus do the lotion thing, after the first week of chemo.
And to lessen all activities that involve friction
for the first week after chemo.

Oh! And I forgot, he is having me go for a CT Scan Dec. 30th.
To see whats going on with my abdomen, and see how close the hernia is to the tumor.
The hernia is paining me quite a bit now.
We just have to wait and see what the CT Scan says is all...

You have had so many problems with the hernia & the tumor are they ever going to be able to fix those? I know they have done surgery on those before. I sure hope if they have to do surgery again that they can do a more permanent fix. I really don't like the idea of you going under the knife again.

Yea, the thought of having surgery is not something I want to do.
But I don't want my bowel coming through that hernia and getting strangulated either.
I know what a bowel obstruction feels like, and I'm betting a strangulated bowel is worse.
Hopefully I won't have a reaction to the mesh, or whatever they use.
That is if they can even do the surgery.
I guess I could find a truss and try to use that...





*edit- BTW when I logged in today, it said there was two guests signed in.
Just what exactly can a guest see or do here?

Per Redd, Guests can do nothing. They can see the main log in page & nothing more. I can't really read anything else. Either way it means either someone was here but didn't log in or our favorite internet stalkers are checking us out again. I really wish they would grow up.

Been doing things around the place in preparation for Christmas. Got the tree up but still have a ton of things left to do. How are you feeling today? BTW, Thank you for the talk the other day. It really helped me a lot. I appreciate your honesty on things. Anyway more chores to do & at some point I have to go hunt for pics for tags. So many birthdays & so little time lol.

Actually, I'm feeling pretty good right now.
My day started out lousy, but got better.
Today was such a beautiful day, I even went to town with Nick when he went,
just to get out of the house. It was nice.
I too have been doing somethings around the house, but resting more then actually doing. LOL
But I did get some things done at least.
I was going to put our small Christmas tree up, but I cannot get to it. LMBO!
All of Jesse and Melissa's stuff is blocking it to where I cannot get it.
And I don't think I want to unpack a whole room just to get to it either. LOL
Oh well.

I had the RFL done yesterday afternoon.
Well, both of those I had done are the test to see if I'm a good candidate for it.
I am assuming I find out the results of those tests on Dec. 29th when I go back to the pain clinic.
I sure hope they can do this, as it means no pain for me in my lower back for approx. 6 months.
They said it can last anywhere from 6 weeks to 2 years.
But when I had it done before, it lasted about 6 months for me.
So wish me luck on that.
I'm feeling okay today, just a bit tired.
I was laying down trying to take a nap, but the phone kept ringing. Grrr
Wish I knew how to turn the ringer off on this phone.
I'm guessing it cannot be done, because I seen nothing about it in the book to the phone.
Guess that's a feature they left out of this model...

Just unplug it from the wall, lol. Then it can't ring. Hope this procedure works. I've watched someone in pain every day & it's not fun. I know that is how poor Cat feels. Wish I could help the both of you but I can't except to send well wishes your way & keep you in my prayers.
How are Melissa & Jesse doing? Haven't heard from her in a while.

I just talked to Melissa today. They got a bit over 6 inches of snow.
Supposedly it does not snow there very often, and they get there in a recored year.
LOL Kinda like when she moved here, and we had that record ice storm.
Now she says she hates the snow.
They are doing okay from what she said.
Of course she misses all of us.
I dunno when she will be getting internet.

David left for wherever it is they are sending him on Dec. 15th.
The Dec. 21st date was when he had to report there.
I still don't know where he's at. His wife knows, but she's not
saying anything till she hears from David that he has arrived safely.
She said he would probably call her Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
He did this the last time he was deployed.
He says he does not want me to worry about him,
that's why he did not tell me it was sooner actually.
So, I guess no news is good news in this case for sure.

Glad to hear you heard from Melissa. Hope her, Jesse & Ryan are alright. Hope they can get internet soon. I miss her. Hope things are going well for them.

Sorry to hear David is being deployed again. Hopefully it won't be Iraq or any place else that is dangerous. Sorry to hear they are deploying him just before Christmas. I'll be keeping him in my prayers for a safe return home.

Sounds delicious except the ham but I don't eat ham,lol. I was supposed to cook for Christmas but we got such a late start & everything I forgot to get it started. Redd made us hamburgers & tomorrow I'll cook the ham for him & the children.

I talked with my oldest son David's wife today on the phone.
David is in Iraq.
She said the name of the base, but I cannot remember it.
She said she will forward the email he sent to her,
so I can get his email address, and the name of the base.
She has to do it on Monday, when she gets back to work,
because he sent it to her work email address.
She did tell me that there has been no incidence at this base
since 2005, so it is assumed to be safe.
Of course, David will not be allowed to leave base anyways...
So, now I kinda know where he's at, will know more soon.
I'm back to not sleeping well again. I know its because I'm worried about my son.
It will be this way until he gets back to the good old USA.
I know, this is what happened the last time, when he was in Afghanistan.
So, I will try to g r a b sleep whenever I can.

So sorry to hear your son was deployed to Iraq. My youngest brother is in Germany after his 2nd tour of duty over there. We're hoping he gets to stay home this time.

I will keep your son in my prayers until you tell us he has returned. Get what sleep you can. Being sleep deprived doesn't do any one any good & as you have enough health issues you need your sleep.

I finally found out where David is.
He is at The Ali (Talil) Base in Iraq.
It is also called Camp Adder by the Army.

Well I'm off today to get that CT Scan done with contrast today.
I won't know the results till I go to my next chemo appt. which is on Jan. 6th probably.
That contrast stuff is nasty. Yuck! LOL
We had a bit of snow this morning.
Things were starting to look a bit white, but its stopped now,
and warming up too. We are supposed to get some rain this afternoon and tonight.
We have a chance of rain or snow tomorrow as well.

Sorry to hear that. With all the funds spent on developing meds you would think they could invest it making it taste better,lol.

Yea, its supposed to be cold here too.
Starting Friday night, its supposed to get down to 14.
Then Saturday night its supposed to get down to 11.
I used to love the winter time.
Well, before I got hurt I did anyways.
Now it just means more pain is all.
I'm already looking forward to summer, and winter has just now begun. LOL

I understand. I still love the winter but find anymore that laying on the floor leaves me stiff. It now takes a few minutes to walk out the aches,lol.
